Good food/atmosphere but they falsely advertise themselves as vegetarian while serving turkey and fish. Be careful. It seems their vegan and vegetarian selection has been declining in recent years which is disheartening.

Top shelf add large proportions. You'll soon notice you're in a veggie restaurant but not care even if you're an omnivore. It's a perfect balance when you're dining with die-hard vegetarians and you're not in the camp. Or just for great food when you're in the neighborhood. We'll certainly be back.

Vegetarian food at its best ,come hungry and enjoy . Very good food and service in a delightful atmosphere of yesteryear .

The vegetarian options are great- wholesome and full of delicious flavors! My boyfriend eats meat, but loves it too and always asks to come back. He's lactose intolerant and loves the vegan cheese and vegan cakes.

My family went to the Rosendale Cafe a week ago 8/11. I ordered my 4 yr old son a grilled cheese sandwich from the kids menu. When it arrived it looked good, golden brown and delicious. My son proceeded to eat the sandwich and didn’t say anything. When we were leaving I asked for a to go package for the rest of his sandwich. I noticed a little charred bit so I flipped the sandwich over and saw black. I was very upset. Who in their right mind would serve a burnt sandwich to a child??? Apparently the Rosendale Cafe would. I cannot recommend this place because of that fact.

Such an amazing place! We are vegan and gluten free and we were so excited by the huge amount of options for us! We also had our service dog with us and they were totally fine with that! The food was delicious, the staff was so kind and friendly, and the cider mimosas hit the spot!!! We love this place and will definitely come back

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal! They were clear and helpful about all the vegan options (There were many). Quesadilla, soup, vegan BLT and reuben and desserts were all delicious!!! We can't wait to go back when we're in the area.

Food was very good. Was able to sit outside with my family and dog. Everyone liked the food. Cute little town.

Their burrito with vegan cheese and gluten free wrap was on point. My girlfriend got the non-vegan spinach ravioli, which she was a bit disappointed by though. She said it tasted like a frozen dinner. The menu was not labelled as to which items you could veganize, and which you can't. You have to ask for each item.

The food was kind of disappointing. Was more like something I would make at home, pretty bland. Cute building though. The glass of wine I got made my dinner much more enjoyable

I visit this spot a lot since I work right next to it. I love how their customer service is always excellent and they keep the spot well kept constantly. Prices are reasonable and they serve big portions.

One of the best gems in Rosedale. Fantastic vegetarian fare on a lovely street with a nice hiking park in the backyard.

Really great place. Love the decoration and atmosphere. Staff was nice and the food was good. The Japanese dressing for the salad was totally awesome.

Truly delicious food and welcoming wait staff. I rented their upstairs space through airbnb. The place has been beautifully renovated and the back porch which overlooks their garden is inspiring. The food tastes just like they say local sourced; in fact plucked from their back garden. I can't wait to go back and try more stuff and hear some of the amazing musical acts they have coming in.

Came here after eating really unhealthily for a few days and was so glad we did. The food was excellent, healthy, filling. Really friendly service as well. A good atmosphere -- you could bring a date or your family. Hope to come back.

Huge variety of food for all your dietary needs. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and even meat eaters can all find something to enjoy plus a bar with wine and beer. The gluten free carrot cake was amazing.

I wish I could say all nice things about this place. I have been there several times. It always had a nice friendly vibe, but that all changed on my most recent visit. So unfortunate when you get that one server who can ruin your day in an instant. Well, said server did just that. She would be better off as a drill sergeant.

Had lunch here on our 1st visit to Rosendale. We were looking for a vegan restaurant and were just introducing vegan food to our then 3 year old kid. While eating, our 3 yr old told us that she did not like the food which was overheard by a waitress who then quickly came and snapped at my girl saying she need not eat the food if she did not like it !! What kind of an adult would talk like that to a toddler , goes to show her level of maturity ! And on this review page too their rudeness is very apparent, the owner just responds to positive comments and totally ignores feedback of any other type , reflects their poor sense of business ethics and immaturity to handle critisism. Unfortunately, food alone does not make a restaurant great , business is all about people skills ! Not visiting anymore.

The good old Rosendale Cafe...classic place to go for casual dining. Everyone finds something they like on the menu. A good go to. Love the coconut limeade.

We came to this restaurant for a meeting. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very successful. the crew were so friendly and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was yummy. We loved this restaurant very much and we shall absolutely come back again. Highly recommended.

After a full day of shopping hunger sat in. The biggest eatery in Rosendale is The Rosendale Cafe, it also happens to be a vegetarian restaurant. To my surprise the items on their menu were awesome. The tuna melts and egg sandwiches were delicious and filling. So why not have dessert? I'm already saving a few calories . Coconut cake Mm mm mm !

Reassuringly modest cafe with great varied menu. Food is tasty, definitely on the healthy side of vegetarian food - reminds me of all my favourite "been here a long time" vegetarian places. Prices are excellent for much of the menu and you can get a seriously nice dinner here for not too much.Great atmosphere, great outdoor space, good service. Coconut limeade is greeaaat.

We ordered three dishes from here as takeout during Covid and wow, what a delicious meal. You can’t go wrong with anything here, so delicious, fast, and friendly.

This place can get wicked busy, but it's worth it! Staff are fun, food is excellent, and atmosphere is unique. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, linner, dinner... Whatever... food is flavorful and well portioned. I love their curried chickpeas and spinach. Wonderfully flavorful and filling after a day of hiking.

WOW. If only they could put one of these in every little writer's haven...but then it wouldn't be the Rosendale Cafe anymore. It would just be a formula. This restaurant has no obvious formula, but it totally works. It is a crappy place to write -- it's not comfy enough, and the space is too small for multiple use. It's only really good for eating and the odd open mic. But who cares? It's a bright, spacious room, the folks are nice, and the food is both generous portion-wise and very tasty. If you can afford to spend only $20 a day on food, why not spend it on a single meal here. You'll be slender, but not malnourished. And every meal will be satisfying.

Thanks for giving me a soggy burrito with sauce all over it the point of a burrito is to hold it and not use knife and fork but the other than that the flavors of the we okay

Awesome local business. They offer a mostly vegan and vegetarian menu, the only place in the region to do so. Everything I've had there has been excellent- you have to try the seitan gyros! The service is great, and their japanese salad dressing is legendary.They host a surprising mix of live performances, with a lot of talent you'd normally only catch at less intimate venues. Absolutely a gem.
